Christopher
Wajda, born in 1972 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduated
from Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem, PA before attending
art
school and later studying art and design at the university level
in Philadelphia.
Wajda began working in illustration in 1994 for the Trenton Times, New Jersey's largest daily newspaper producing half and three quarter page full color
illustrations. Wajda also produced humorous illustration and graphic design for
a wide array of businesses and organizations, from book illustration to safety
and business cartoons for trade journals. Gradually, developing websites and
industrial design grew from the exposure of those first illustrations leading
to the opening of Bucks County's NorthPoint Studios in 2001.
Christopher Wajda has won many awards and juried competitions for his graphic
design and Illustration. His graphic design and fine art has been featured in
regional and national venues and in 2002 he began providing commissioned pieces
for private collections. During 2003, he shifted focus from the industrial and graphic design
arts to fine arts, primarily illustration and pursuing a path more geared to
the exploration of color, form and the integration of design expressed in a variety
of painting mediums. Wajda spent 6 years traveling extensively through Eastern and Western Europe
and North America studying different artistic techniques and studying the works
of the European and modern American masters. Currently, Wajda's fine art is represented
by Bucks County's NorthPoint Gallery, bringing his work to the community in Philadelphia,
Bucks County and surrounding areas. |
